A training I once went to taught that when a stranger came into the village with bare feet and hungry, the people would walk out to the edge of the village to greet them. They would wash his feet and feed him. It is their belief that the person came bearing a (spiritual) gift which would benefit the village as a whole. It was their custom to make the person FEEL WELCOME. It is my belief that you have come back to B-town bearing your gift for us. Welcome Home Kelly Post Extras: Print Post Remind Me! Eric, i think one of the lessons I learned is that I had everything I need in my life, here, and just didn't know it until I was gone. Very enlightening, eye opening. I learned alot, both personally and professionaly, and for that I will be forever grateful. I came to realize that I had a very important, close knit family, here, that I have made through wonderful friends that I love. God brings us together for a reason!! This I know with all of my heart. Hey, when are we all getting together to celebrate passing our Orals? Were supposed to go to Road House Grill! Anybody ready to go, e-mail me! Kelly Post Extras: Print Post Remind Me! egrit Moderator gold member Reged: 09/08/02 | Re: Just Chatting new [re: Melody] 10/09/02 09:53 PM okay I have a question. I was asked by a clinician if a person that has damaged their brain that they are now ddx, how long if ever does it take to recover? How can I help her with this question? Ideas? Melody gold member Reged: 09/11/02 Loc: Bakersfield, CA | Re: Just Chatting new [re: egrit] 10/12/02 01:04 PM It is my understanding that if someone's substance abuse causes their mental illness, then it is organistic and they do not recover. I'd like to hear from more people on this. Good question, but why doesn't the clinician already know this??? Just more evidence that we are a specialized profession!!! You could ask my therapist! 10 years later and I'm still in therapy! Mark would be a prime example, though! Post Extras: Print Post Remind Me! Notify Moderator |

S/A or MI. I find my self many times "explaining" things to co workers with years of exp. I think they already know some things, but Its the changes they don't keep up with.
