Ha! Loved that anonymous reply!

There are actually some very legitimate studies that have been done on faith healing that have demonstrated that prayer has a significant impact on post-surgical healing time. In the studies, the people who were praying for the subjects of the experiment didn't know the subjects or anything else other than their first names and the type of surgery they were having. The original study has been duplicated with similar results.

I can also tell you about another study which I have no intention of duplicating: My own mother had not one but two drug-addicted, mentally ill daughters hooked up with two no-good drug addicted mentally ill hoodlum boyfriends, and for about five years she walked back and forth in her bedroom saying the prayer for the Ephesians over and over until she had to have the carpet replaced in that room because it was going bald where she paced and prayed for us. And we all recovered. I can't imagine that the prayers had nothing to do with that.

Yes, my mother too prayed over and over for her wayward son, her prayer's were answered and she was able to see it happen. Worked for her (and me too)

I found a super intriguing/facinating book titled "THE COUCH AND THE CROSS" written by J.R.Ensey. There is a type of therapy which uses scriture to devepope Christian counseling skills. Ensey also offers a course in Christian counseling that I am very interested in taking. As for prayer therapy, that is how i was healed from my addiction and remained clean and sober these past 6 1/2 years without a relapse. Not one! There is something about humbling ourselves in prayer that relieves stress and anxiety. This I have found to be true by experience. :
